Community participation is integral to the effectiveness of the Article X process and GEP is committed to doing everything possible to keep every member of the community advised of its activities. Throughout the Article X process, there are several mandated public hearings. GEP and the various governmental agencies will provide the community with notices of those meetings through the local newspapers (Glenville Journal and the Daily Gazette).
The Town of Glenville has charged its Technical Advisory Commission (TAC) with the task of reviewing the GEP proposal. The Town is lucky to have a significant group of very talented and technical people serving on TAC. GEP meets regularly with the TAC in public sessions to discuss technical issues in the application.
GEP anticipates conducting additional public forums on several topics throughout the summer. GEP will advertise these meetings once they are finalized to allow for maximum community involvement.
To reach someone at GEP, simply call the local offices at (518) 346-9311 or send a fax to (518) 346-9321.
Every Wednesday, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., GEP officials are available in the GEP Glenville offices to meet with the public to discuss any aspects of the proposal. GEP's Scotia offices are located at 165 Freeman's Bridge Road.
Updated information on the GEP project is available on the GEP website at: www.glenvilleenergypark.com. Look to this site for information on upcoming public meetings and other important dates in the Article X process.
The Article X process requires, and GEP is committed to, the establishment and maintenance of a regular community distribution list. GEP will regularly mail project updates, meeting announcements, etc. to that distribution list. To be added to the list, please call (518) 462-0318 and ask for Meghan.
